Conditions can change quickly. Forecasts are planning tools-not guarantees of safe diving conditions. Always evaluate the site in person, verify official regulations, use appropriate equipment, dive within your training, and never dive alone.
All guided breath-hold sessions are intended for dry training only. Never practice breath holding alone in water and never hyperventilate. Apnea walks require a capable, dedicated buddy and a safe, clear route. SpearIQ is not medical advice or a substitute for certified freediving instruction.

Apple Health features require permission and compatible hardware. Available dive information depends on the recording device and data stored in Apple Health.

• Instant conditions. Dive sites now load in about a second. The app opens with your last conditions right away and updates them in the background.

• Live underwater camera check. The Scripps Pier underwater camera is read every daylight hour, and forecasts for Scripps Pier and nearby La Jolla spots adjust to what the water actually looks like.

• Forecasts that learn. Every forecast is checked against the camera and diver reports, and the model tunes itself as that record grows.

• See how fresh the data is. Every data source shows when it was measured ("Measured 9:26 AM · 12 min ago"), and anything out of date is clearly marked.

• Check for new readings. Tap refresh to pull the latest, and see "Up to date" when you have it.

• More accurate San Diego visibility. We fixed a pier sensor reading that made La Jolla look clearer than it was, and smoothed out noisy readings.

• One number everywhere. A site's score is now the same on the list and on its detail page.

• Better cameras. La Jolla sites now link to the real Scripps Pier underwater camera.

• Smoother community. Posts, threads and photos load faster and more reliably.
